Big companies require larger and more sophisticated communication channels while small companies can operate effectively with a basic system. There are three basic types of phone systems.
Phone systems come in different types. Some of the common ones include the Private Branch Exchange (PBX), Key System Unit (KSU) and the Key System Unit-Less. The PBX system is the most expensive system. It has more features and this makes it ideal for big companies and medium companies that have many employees. This type is available in many sizes and is designed in such a way that it can be expanded if need be. It is the most advanced.
The second type is the Key System Unit (KSU). This type of system has fewer features compared to the PBX. It is economical and ideal for smaller companies.
Finally we have the KSU-Less system. It serves small companies and can only hold up to ten phones. It does not have a central base unit, so each individual phone must have all the functionalities. It is mostly used to provide basic phone services to the company.
So, as you can see there is a type to suit each type of company. Therefore it is advisable that every company installs a telephone system so as to increase productivity and cut on costs.
