Concealed and Exposed Valves – Concealed / Exposed refers to the way the shower valve is mounted on the wall. A concealed shower valve is built into the shower wall so that most of the valve is hidden and only the control levers are visible. An exposed valve is mounted onto the shower wall so that the whole mechanism is visible. Many shower valves can be mounted either exposed or concealed.
Twin Shower Valves – Unlike a single lever valve, a twin valve has two controls, one control for the rate of water flow and a second control for the water temperature.
Power Showers – Those showers with inbuilt pumps are called as power shower. A hot and cold water supply is required for these type of showers. Although, these showers don’t help in heating the water but they help in raising the pressure of the water. However, you could get the water heated with a strong pumping. These showers are ideal for those places with low water pressure.
Thermostatic Type Of Shower Valves – One of the primary goals of these shower valves is to maintain the temperature in an even by coping the temperature and dual water flow feeds. No matter even if the cold water supply gets un-operational, the anti-scald safety feature helps in cutting down the water flow.
Concealed and Exposed Type Of Shower Valves – These shower valves are named after the wall mount type. A concealed valve, as the name implies is build within the shower valve making it difficult to view the parts of the valve. However, the control leavers of the concealed valve are visible. The exposed type of shower valves are visible because these are mounted on the visible portion of the shower valve. You can choose to conceal or expose a shower valve based on your requirements.
Shower Valves (Twin) – As the name implies, these valves have dual controls, out of which one controls the water flow rate and the other controls the temperature of the water.
Power Showers – A power shower is basically a shower with a built in pump. A power shower needs both hot and cold water supplies. A power shower does not heat the water; it pumps water through and increased water pressure, giving you a stronger shower. Power showers are ideal where you have low water pressure, perhaps in a bungalow.
