Go to ebay and type Canon VIXIA HV20 no wear or tear. Great value with Rode Mic.
The auction ends in less than 24hrs.

he reminds me of car sellers.
I’m looking for a camera myself. Canon seems to have a lot going on. I recently tried out a Panasonic HDC-SD10. I seen great shoots here on You Tube of out door scenes. But when I got the camera indoors, the colors were washed out. Thanks God for 10 day return deals. LOL
Do you or anyone else know the deal about the different camera chips? I know what ever’s in Panasonic is not what I want.
Thanks.
@41point2
Yes I do. I meant that Im going to get HV40
Do realize the is almost a 3 year old review?
.
can you record in HD straight to the Mini DV tape and just pass it to the computer through firewire and get that HD effect? or do you have to pass the videos to the computer through the HD port? someone please answer
Thanks for the review. Now Im definitely going to buy this camera!
The HV290 is a great cam. It represents a great leap forward in video and filmmaking. look at our pretty butterfly music video done on the hv20 and a 35mm jagpro 35mm adapter. Now we have moved on to the Pentax video dslr. but the HV20 was awesome and can take anyone with meager skills and make them look great!
no lies just the truth. I got a Vixia HF S11 and the truth is in the puddin. By comparison the HV20 sucks. I still have mine and when you compare the two, the HV 20 is a toy.
get mine on friday! can’t wait!
The same way as you get video from any tape camera to the PC. Usually through a firewire cable.
You record it in a way. Then the video will be saved on your PC as a preferred video file.
ok…..so how would you get HDV tape on to an editing system like Sony Vegas or something?
HDV Tape. Not Hdd. You can also record to SD, but then you get lower quality.
tape or sd
ok…so does this thing recodr on a self containde hard drive inside the camera, or do you have to fricken use a SD card. ?????
He mentions that the camera shoots at 1920×1080, but that’s incorrect—MiniDV is limited to an HDV format, max resolution being 1440×1080. Yes, it can be stretched to reach full HD, but keep in mind that’s stretching it, diminishing quality. 720p is nicely achieved with this camera, but 1080p could only be seen if you were capturing directly to a computer and bypassing the MiniDV tape.
because youtubbe wasnt widescreeeen in 2007
lies!!!
