Promotional products are used frequently by companies for brand enhancement and brand recognition. Small day to day useful items are given to the target market in a n aim for them to use them in their home or office. Every time the product is used the printed logo is seen which makes great advertising. Popular events for the use of promotional products are tradeshows or exhibitions, where clients that have been pitched to are left with a lasting reminder of the company to take home with them.
To make your company stand out from the crowd in a competitive environment you need to be clever with your advertising. Perhaps you are promoting a new product or service your company has to offer, or perhaps you just want to promote your company. It is always good to keep your advertising methods up to date and fresh; seasonal marketing is always very effective. At the end of the day above all else you want your company to be remembered and to stand out from the crowd.
The last exhibition I saw everybody walking round with some small plants. This is actually a peculiar sight and you knew there was one stand that was giving them away. A small plant is an object that perhaps everybody would like, so this made you look out for this one stall in the whole of the venue. It is not the type of item that will be hidden away in a bag, so everybody would see it. A promotional sticker could be added to the plant pot for brand reinforcement, plus perhaps for customers that leaves their details or asks for a quotation they could be left with some lasting reminders in keeping with the theme, perhaps a related stress ball, or some ecologically friendly products.
Another tactic is to have one complete theme running through your stand; perhaps a colour scheme or perhaps using something taken from your logo which includes some quirky symbol or icon. Have these developed further in your promotional items to reinforce your complete corporate image.
Make sure all your staff are dressed in uniform either wearing printed or embroidered clothing. This will not only make them smart in appearance but also when they are talking to potential candidates there is further opportunity for brand recognition. Perhaps you want everybody to wear t-shirts printed boldly with your logo, or you could have everybody wearing brightly coloured caps. If you are after a more corporate feel then you can have some embroidered shirts and smart trousers.
Apart from promotional products make sure you are talking to as many people as possible. When else will you have an opportunity to meet so many people interested in a particular industry? It is vital to get the word out for your company. This day is about sales, so you need to make sure you have the right people for the job. Promotional products are there to get people’s attention and to leave a lasting reminder to those after a pitch has been made but without the best sales staff the products could be wasted.
